Whether you realize it or not, if you live on PEI chances are good that you have heard drummer and percussionist
Alan Dowling play this week. Almost 46,000 Islanders hear Alan's drumset on any given weeknight
in the new theme music for CBC's Compass. From being an eager Island kid who used to follow parade
drummers down the street, Alan has developed into one of the Island's finest musicians.

An alt-rock-based energetic trio with a soft side for melody and groove, State of the Art was formed
in 2003 by its two original members, guitarist/vocalist Adam Campbell, and drummer Jordan Oakie.
The band recently enlisted former Plump and E.G.U. bassist Oliver Cluett,
polishing off their sonic arsenal. With full ambitions of music-making and artistic exploration
this summer in Halifax, N.S., State of the Art prepares to make a scene and rock the asses off the willing.

Drummer/percussionist Mark Adam has made a versatile career across Canada and around
the world as one of Canada's strong, creative musical voices and has leant
his support to a diverse array of the best musicians this country has to
offer. Mr. Adam has played with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony
Nova Scotia, been an ensemble member and guest soloist in the New Works Calgary
Ensemble, principal percussionist of the Banff Center for the Arts Orchestra, and much more.

Record stores to road wars, they are a band that has experienced
many side of music and all that tends to come with it, at the same
time maintaining the utmost desire to simply plug in, turn up, and rock.
With an overwhelming response to the live show, the band is set in
motion on an across Canada tour with showcasing in the USA as well as
over seas. There's a pretty good chance this is only the first time

Peter is a multi-instrumentalist who tested the traditional music venue
in 1998 with the duo Bonavista but previously had played jazz with The
Jive Kings and R+B with Dry Toast. His eclectic musical experiences have
made him a well rounded performer with numerous abilities to bring various
tone colors to the music.
